Conception of the Penny Project

How it All Began
Today at lunch, my coworkers (Genius Greg-CEO and Genius Evan-Life Cycle Analyst) and I were broaching the subject of the magnitude of little things done by large quantities of people, which was initialized by Greg's statistic, "If everyone in Europe just unplugged their cell phone charger when they weren't using it, the power saved could power 6,000 homes (or something like that)". This propogated my response: "That's kind of like the idea of how you can save the world if everyone just gives a penny." Evan's thoughts were that the person that received all the pennies would spend the rest of their life rolling pennies. Nevertheless, we all decided that everyone should just give me a penny. I am a completely normal girl from Wisconsin suburbia. People can trust me with their pennies. What would I do with all these pennies? We will have to see how many pennies I get. Let's test it.

Initial Thoughts/Plans
-I will document where every penny comes from with a Google Map. I will include information about the penny's condition, date printed, and if the donor requests, information about them (specifically life aspirations).
-I will not accept more than one penny per person. However, if a person wishes to donate more, they can choose to donate the smallest denomination from other countries as well. For example, I may choose to donate a Canadian penny, an American penny, a Mexican peso, etc. if I please.
-Feel free to comment on ideas for where I should take this project. I am still in the planning stage.
